Nightmares on Wax is a pioneer of the UK electronic music scene and is Warp Records longest serving signing. Back in 1995, ‘Smokers Delight’ elevated N.O.W's downtempo chill-out to new heights, and his sound has continued to grow and evolve ever since. His latest offering “Shout Out! To Freedom…” demonstrates an artist who remains at the top of his game over three decades in, firmly cementing him as one of the most important and influential black British producers of his generation.

Try your hand at reworking either the galactic groove and echoing refrain of “Wonder” or the sublime saxophone excursion that is “3D Warrior”. Both tracks feature instrumentation from both the incredible British jazz Saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings and Brooklyn sonic shaman Haile Supreme.

Two winners will be selected - one for each track. The winning remixes will receive an official release on E.A.S.E's own label 'HiyaSelf Recordings Unlimited', launching next year. The lucky winners will have their remix released digitally plus played at Nightmares On Wax's residency at Phonox in April. The competition will be judged by Nightmares on Wax, Paul Woolford, Mala and Ralph Moore (Mixmag). We encourage entrants from everywhere, all backgrounds and skill levels. We are looking for exciting news talent - not more of the same. The only rule is, to apply you can't be signed in a long term deal with any record label.
