EML Recordings and EDM Addicts are thrilled to announce a remix contest for the iconic track « Broken » by the legendary ‘First Lady Of Trance’ Jan Johnston and the rising superstar Lorna James.

This contest welcomes remixes from all genres and styles, emphasizing creativity above all else.

This is a fair remix contest with a transparent royalty split.
All royalty income from the remix compilation will be equally divided between Jan Johnston, Lorna James, the label and each individual remixer.
This means each party receives the same share for each remix included.

How it works

• Each artist is permitted to submit one remix and any musical style is welcome.
• The label and artists will review all submissions.
• From the submitted remixes, 30 will be chosen to feature in a live showcase on EDM Addicts Radio (date to be confirmed).

• During the live show, each chosen remix will be played in full.
• Listeners and live chat participants will rate them out of ten.
• The average score will be calculated based on the number of voters.
• The 16 highest-rated remixes will be compiled into an official remix album. This album is scheduled for release in summer 2026.
