PETRU KSS, a London-based techno artist, is a multifaceted figure who excels as a live performer, DJ, producer, researcher, and label founder. His unique work seamlessly blends hardware-centric live performances, real-time improvisation, and deep, hypnotic techno. A key aspect of his performances is the emphasis on physical interaction, risk-taking, and human decision-making.

PETRU is renowned for his immersive solo live sets, where he treats the stage as a dynamic canvas for real-time composition. He instinctively shapes structure, tension, and texture through hands-on control, creating an ever-evolving and captivating experience for the audience. In addition to his solo performances, PETRU also regularly graces the decks as a DJ, delivering electrifying sets that have garnered attention from renowned platforms like HÖR Berlin, Mission London, and Liminal Space.

PETRU’s live work is underpinned by his custom THRiPPS system, a fusion of techno, hardware, real-time, improvisation, production, and performance study. This innovative system is a direct result of his ongoing PhD research into solo live electronic music practice, a project that has been recognized with the prestigious Richie Hawtin Scholarship in Electronic Music.

Beyond his own imprint, Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU has released his original music on esteemed labels like City Wall Records. Notable releases include the Mirage EP, Drifting Embers EP, and Qanun EPs. His music has garnered widespread acclaim, receiving remixes and support from renowned artists such as Dubfire, .VRIL, Arnaud Le Texier, and Hannes Bieger. PETRU’s work has also been featured in prestigious publications like Mixmag and FAZEmag, showcasing his unique profile that seamlessly bridges the realms of club culture, live performance, and research-driven exploration.

Kolibri Live LP marks a major milestone for PETRU KSS: his debut album, recorded between the wild landscapes of Corsica and the underground pulse of London.

Mixed by acclaimed engineer Hannes Bieger and mastered at Calyx, it stands as a statement that, even in an age of AI-driven creation, human risk, imperfection and imagination remain at the heart of art.

​Out via Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, the album will unfold in multiple EPs/chapters from October 2025 to early 2026.

• Don’t reuse, share, or sell the stems outside this contest.
• Please refrain from public posting before the winners are announced.
• Each artist is limited to one entry.
• Remixes must be created by humans, sorry Skynet, another day!
• Prioritize submitting your Mixdown version.
• A mastered version can be added for reference only. In that case, share a SoundCloud playlist link containing both versions instead.
• And most importantly, have fun! Prizes are great, but the real goal is to create music!

• Fill in the Registration Form and download the remix pack from the contest page.
• Get creative with the materials and produce your very own remix.
• Render un-mastered mixdown: WAV 44.1/48 kHz 24 bits, max peak -3dB.
• Name the file: Artist – Track Title (Your Artist Name Remix)
• Upload your remix privately on Soundcloud with download enabled.
• Paste the private link with your details into the official Submission Form
