Sound Design Tip
Who's Modestep?
By 2015, they honed a grittier, punk-tinged sound on London Road, then in 2025 returned with the visceral single “Bodybag”—a dark, 140 BPM fusion of early dubstep thunder and cinematic synthwave, climaxing in a full-on drum & bass storm. This track heralds the upcoming album Give Up The Ghost, a concept project exploring AI's impact on human creativity and marking their first LP in nearly a decade.
Today, Modestep (now led by founder Josh Friend) continues to push boundaries between electronic and live music, bringing genre-defying energy to stages worldwide—from Download Festival to Rampage and beyond.
