'Last Summer, I was being vetted by a really big television network for a certain music competition. They couldn't use the music I'd already sent and asked for something "more commercial", so I created "Wild 4 U".
Throughout the vetting process, what seemed like my big break, continued to conflict with who I am at my core, and I was eventually let go. This was a blessing, I left with a renewed understanding that I'm too raw for "the industry" and turned down a path in my crossroads that lead to a reconnection with a sense of freedom I'd long forgotten.
On its surface, "Wild 4 U" is a love song...but underneath it is a snarky response to the execs and tastemakers that I can't be boxed in and packaged up. In my path of re-embracing the nontraditional and following my gut feelings, I came across web3 and found renewed belonging in an emerging creative landscape.
Audius stood out as a highly accessible means of getting music into the hands of the people. I wanted to take that connection a step further and offer the people an opportunity to recreate this record how they see fit.'
